          ]]>           I got a canon rebel xs this past christmas, and I’ve been having trouble with lighting and the quality of color. About a year ago i had taken a photography class and learned to use an XT. I loved it and i decided to get a camera of my own. Im not quite sure how to explain it but i cant get seem my photographs to bring out the light and color of what im looking at through the lens. (i hope that makes sense) I bought a book about my specific camera but i didn’t find it very helpful. I don’t use use the flash or auto focus often. and i know that my photos are not over exposed or under exposed, I just don’t know what I am doing wrong. If you have an tips or advice for a farly new photographer, it would be greatly appreciated.
          I took the photography class about 2 years ago, dont remeber the settings my teacher taugh me.

            ]]>             Ok, at school the other day, my friend asked to see my camera. She accidentally deleted all my photos. She said she pressed format, saw the warning, but still pressed the select button on accident.

                ]]>                 I have a EF 23=70mm f/2.8L lens. I am not a professional I just enjoy taking pictures. I want to take portrait pictures of my grand kids and outdoor flowers and birds and such. I have looked at canon 7D and 5D mark II. What is the best camera for my needs.                   I like taking portraits, and just general urban photography.

                  When I’m taking portraits, I like my backgrounds to be somewhat unfocused sometimes, and it’s a bother to do that in photoshop.

                  What camera would fit my standards best, and be best for me, I’m 17.
