on a point and shoot camera you can see the image through the screen instead of the finder how do you change that so that my dslr can so the image through the screen?
please help….if this makes any sense

Look in your camera’s manual or menus for "live view" and enable that option. It is available on the XSi.
You need to press the ‘SET’ button.
enable the Live View!
You turn on the live view mode, which you will find is pretty useless unless you have the camera on a tripod or other support.
If you plan on just walking around and shooting while using the screen to compose your shots, you are going to be very disappointed.
