I don’t know a lot about cameras. I have been looking at the brand new rebel XS which is listed around 600$ but a friend of mine is willing to sell his XTi 400d for 400$ with the lens and accessories. I think it might be a year or two older(not sure how long they have been making the model), but the specs are about the same- 10 mps, 2.5 LCD and 3 fps. Which should I get?

I have two Canon Rebel SLR cameras. One is digital (about 2 1/2 years old) and the other is about 4 years old and is a film camera. I just realized that my 28-80 lens from my film camera seems to fit on my digital SLR. Is it okay to put it on there? Is there a reason why I should or should not? Thank you for any advice.
I’m trying to select the best answer but something is wrong -it’s not letting me?!?!?

Im am purchasing my first dslr camera for my upcoming birthday and i have done lots of reaserch on what camera to buy but i cant seem to decide between these three.

I want to purchase a Digital SLR Camera that is cheap (less than 0) and has very good features. In other words I want a cheap camera that will give the best value for my money. I prefer Nikons or Canons.
Oops. The cameras are more expensive but I am still interested in these two cameras or similar models.

i have a canon powershot SD1000 right now & the reason i bought it is because it was one of the only cameras that wouldn’t make my eyes close with the flash. my eyes are sensitive to some camera flashes so i can’t just buy any camera, and since i moved out of the country and i can’t try the cameras out like I did with my first one. How is the flash on the canon eos rebel xsi? I have a really old canon rebel from like 1991 & that flash doesn’t make my eyes close. A friend is coming to visit me soon and she’s going to buy it for me if I ask her to. I really want this camera but I need to know if I will be able to take pictures of myself with it too.

Digital SLR Camera, Canon Rebel XSI or Nikon D60?

I’m a beginner looking to switch to SLR cameras. I have found good deals on both the XSI and the D60. Which one is better? Please give me as much comparison info as you can as this is a big thing for me. I would be buying the 55-200mm zoom lens for either camera.

Also includes telephoto lens. I want to buy a digital camera. How much would one of these cameras go for on Ebay or Craigslist? Could I use my telephoto lens on a new Canon digital camera?

I recently bought a Canon EOS Rebel XS film camera with the lens for $90. Is this a good deal?

It has both manual and automatic mode, and it also has flash. It’s used but in good condition.
I don’t really know much about cameras, and I bought this at the camera show at Elks Lodge in Old Pasadena. The lens is a 52mm and the zoom is 35-80mm.
I researched on eBay after I came back and I found that some people were selling them for ? But those were without a lens.

where can i buy film for it? (35 mm) and where can i buy lenses? I prefer not to buy them online though

thanks, i know its an ancienct camera, but its a good start to photography for me.
im totally new to cameras…i dont know if i just buy film at regular stores…or what haha.

I like to take both distance and close up photos and I’m having difficulty deciding on the type of lens to purchase. I’m kind of on a budget and don’t want to spend more than 0 but preferably less. I know something about cameras but I’m just not sure which lens would be best for me.

It’s not digital. It takes film and it seems like it’s one of those cameras they would use for a photo shoot or something. It has many different functions and we don’t know how to use them.
