How long will the Canon Rebel XTI camera last?

My friend was telling me today that she would like to sell me her Canon Rebel XTI that came out in late 2006 so I’m assuming she bought it in 2007? Anywho, I was wondering if anyone knows how long they are made to last for? I don’t want to give her a few hundred bucks then have it break in a couple months. I know my other friend has an XSI that’s still kickin’

I’m an aspiring photographer, and looking to buy a new DSLR camera.
I am anything *but* an amateur, so don’t say ‘this is good for beginners’.
I just want to know which is better quality, the Canon Rebel XTI, or one of the Nikon series? (as in, which takes better pictures)

My boss gave me two choices for a company camera: Canon EOS 30D or Canon EOS Rebel XTi. Why is the EOS 30D considered a better camera if the Rebel XTI is higher megapixels?

I also have the choice of two lenses, 18-55 mm EF-S lens or 17-85mm IS Lens. I’m definitely going with the 17-85mm.

My friends going to buy a new camera so shes looking to sell her Canon EOS Rebel XTi for 300. Which is a really good deal seeing that it’s 600. But I wanted to know if the camera’s any good like the quality of the photos. If it takes nice indoor photos as well as outdoor. And it’s user friendly because this will be my first dslr.

I was experimenting w/the canon rebel xsi and I had a tough time. For example when i was in manual mode, how come whenever i put a fast shutter speed like 1/125 of a sec, the picture in the LCD screen looks really dark? and does anybody know a website where it has videos on what the settings are in the menu screen because there are a lot of menu settigs to choose from and I don’t know what most of them are. any answers would be appreciated.

im on a budget to get an SLR camera
looking to get something 500$ or a little higher than that
i did some research the Canon Rebel XS and Nikon D60 are in that price range

What would you choose

I really can’t choose one
stores around here won’t let you test any camera so that sucks

Hey, I plan to buy a Canon Rebel XTI camera for taking pictures in concerts mainly. Is the stock 18-55mm lens good enough? Most of the time I will be sitting at the first 10 rows. Or should I just buy the body only and buy the lens somewhere else? Suggestions welcome. Thank you.

My wife got a Canon XSI Rebel Camera and the LCD monitor does not show what your are pointing at instead you have to use the view finder. Is there a menu option to change this so that you don’t have to use the view finder to see what you are taking a picture of?

My friend let me borrow her canon camera and she didnt explain anything to me since she was in a hurry.
I’ve turned it on focused it and pushed the button to take the picture and it makes the clicky noise like it took a picture.
However, when i try to review the pictures they are not there. Her old pictures are on there and it says it still has room for more so idk what im doing. Any help would be awesome!
