What do you think of Canon EOS Rebel XSI digital SLR camera?

Do you recommend it? I am getting ready to step up to SLR camera so I can start taking professional quality shots..is it easy to use? I hate the regular digital camera with blurr picture of moving objects or slow lag time in between shots etc…

I need a Manual 35 mm SLR Camera for my Black and White Photography class. I am also in need of a Digital Camera so I figured I might as well buy a nice one… such as the Canon Rebel EOS. But I don’t want to regret it if I can’t use it for my class. So would that be considered a Manual Camera and does it have the features?

I’ve had a digital camera for a while now, but it’s pretty basic… I’ve saved up for a Canon Rebel XTi, a camera I really like, but I still have a few questions.
What’s the deal with lenses? The digital camera I was using didn’t have change-able lenses, so I’m clueless; what kind of lenses can go on a Canon Rebel XTi? Are all Canon lenses compatible, or are there certain ones for each specific camera make?

Also, if you have any tips about lenses or what kind I should get, that would be helpful, too.

I am looking into purchasing a Canon Rebel digital SLR camera and was wondering if you could give me any information about the quality of this camera, the usability, and the overall pros and cons that you have experienced while using this model. I am starting to get into photography, and right now have a very nice digital camera, but nothing "professional" like. Would this be a good starting camera for me?

The camera comes with a Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS lens. I know very little about lenses! Is this a good lens? What can this lens offer?

Do you think it might be financially beneficial if I purchased a "backup" digital camera from ebay to rent to college students for the semester?

If so, how much should I charge them? Per month or per semester?

I can buy a Rebel XT for anout 0 new on ebay.

I have just had people ask to borrow my digital (something I don’t do.) I thought if i had a camera specifically meant to be loaned out I could profit as well as help out a few struggling students.
I would of course have them sign a contract regarding damage to the camera (but mine is under warranty so if they break it no big deal-I have coverage.)

As to parties etc-I was planning on only lending it to students in the photography program.
