feedback for Canon Rebel XS and Olympus E420 SLR Digital Camera?

I’m trying to decide between these two cameras. Canon is about 70 dollars more. I’ve never bought a SLR camera before. Which one is better? I think I might get more life out of the Canon and I can use it longer. For instance, if I wanted to upgrade, I could just get better lenses without getting a whole new camera. Is that right? I need feedback on both of these cameras. Compare and contrast.

I’m getting a new camera, and cant decide between a Nikon D80 and a Canon Eos Rebel Xsi. The camera I choose will have to be great for scenic pictures, have great flash, and quality .

My friends going to buy a new camera so shes looking to sell her Canon EOS Rebel XTi for 300. Which is a really good deal seeing that it’s 600. But I wanted to know if the camera’s any good like the quality of the photos. If it takes nice indoor photos as well as outdoor. And it’s user friendly because this will be my first dslr.

I’ve had no luck finding a silver body XTi (I hate the black) anywhere and I have a bunch of Canon lenses I used with my film Rebel and want to use with the new camera, so it has to be a Canon. The XSi doesn’t come in silver or I’d go for that, and with a budget of ,000 or very close to that, is there anything comparable to the XTi in terms of specifics?

I currently have a Canon Digital Rebel XT Camera and a canon 18-55mm lens. I would like to move up to a new camera & a better lens. I am opening a photography studio and want to find the best camera at a good value. I am finding that with my current camera I can’t get any bigger than a 16×20 or the pictures don’t look as good and my lens is not good for upclose portraits I want to get closer than my current lens will allow. Any suggestions on a camera & lens I should buy?
What a great help! You really got what I was asking. I think staying with Canon is an excellent idea. Most of my portraits are of children, which is where I need a new lens. I can’t get close enough for facial shots. I am also doing weddings starting next month. Should I get a prime lens and then a better zoom lens? Would the prime lens mean that I need to change lenses multiple times during a photo session? Between the Canon 40D and 5D what do you think would be the best choice to give me what I need. Thanks for your time & help!
Is the hasselblad a flim camera? I have never shot with anything other than digital…ever. I wouldn’t know how to start especially since I edit all my photos digitally. Looks impressive though.

I currently have the D40X, but mine has some problems and I may have to get a new camera. My question for you is should I stick with nikon and get another D40x or maybe a D60? Or should I switch over to canon and get maybe an EOS Rebel? And why would you choose one over the other?

I recently recieved an vivitar lenses, and canon lenses.. i am new at photography so i dont know the Mm labels on the lenses yet… but i just bought an canon rebel xt, and was wondering if i could use those lenses with my new camera.. i heard something about a adaptor….. can anyone help me with this?? thanks! ciao
