I borrowed a school camera, Canon, and the photos it shoots end up blurry or complete dark. What should I do to get clear shots? Also, it would help if you gave me pointers on how to use ISO,Shutter Speed and Aperture? Thank you

( Ive been messing with the settings, i’m trying to learn how to shoot using the creative zone settings)
Also, why is it taking long for my camera to shoot photos at a shutter speed of 125?
camera: zoom 18-55mm

I want to get a case for my mom for Mother’s Day. I need help finding a case that will hold the camera and the lens without being as big as a suitcase. Thanks.
I’m not sure I was clear – she already has a camera and zoom lens. I just want to find a bag that will accomodate both. : )

First of all, please only reply if you have an understanding and solid recommendation – many times I post questions and get useless answers! (i.e. up to you, maybe, who knows!)

Background: I am a ‘serious amateur’! Most of my pictures are scenery, landscapes, buildings, construction sites, sunsets, and events.

      1) Would you recommend buying Body only or camera with 18-55mm lens?

      2) I would like to have Zoom capabilities and Wide Angle – can this effectively be purchased in one lens? i.e. 18-200mm

      3) Would you recommend Tamron or other lenses over Canon? I see they have a 18-200mm that is a wide – zoom. Or would it be better to purchase a Canon Wide AND Canon Telephoto?

Just trying to find the best solution to minimize costs and get the most bang for my buck with quality equipment. I would rather have 2 lenses than 3 at this point.

Any recommendation, suggestions, or resources to check out would be GREATLY appreciated!

      Thank you!
Clarification – Serious amateur, less than professional, but more than amateur!

When I mentioned buying the body only, I didn’t think I could use this as is … but as a suggestion to get alternate lenses other than the one in the kit!

I read somewhere that it is better to buy what you will need instead of getting what it comes with.

      Thanks!

All I have is a Quantaray lens that I believe is one of the cheapest ones out there. I’m looking for something with a little better quality that is hopefully not too expensive. It can be a zoom lens or one with a fixed focal length.

Need advise on buying a canon rebel camera?

Hi, I was thinking of buying a rebel t2i primarily for video and shooting films, and I saw this deal on best buy: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Canon+EOS+Rebel+T2i+18.0MP+DSLR+Camera+Black+and+Extra+75-300mm+Zoom+Lens/9999142900050083.p?id=pcmprd142900050083&skuId=9999142900050083
It includes a 18-55 mm lens and a 75-300mm zoom lens. I was wondering what was the best lens for shooting video? I was also told a 16-155mm or an 18-155mm was also good? Iam pretty new at this so thanks for any help!

Digital SLR Camera, Canon Rebel XSI or Nikon D60?

I’m a beginner looking to switch to SLR cameras. I have found good deals on both the XSI and the D60. Which one is better? Please give me as much comparison info as you can as this is a big thing for me. I would be buying the 55-200mm zoom lens for either camera.

Will any lens fit on it? I want to a get a zoom lens, I think. I really like to take portrait shots, but I also really like taking Macro and nature/landscape photos. Do you think a Zoom lens would be good? Or would a focal point would be better? I just want to get clearer images, and I don’t believe the lens that came with the camera is doing the job. I’m really confused on what lens I should get. Any tips?

      Thank you!!

Canon Rebel T2i 550d camera zoom?

So I purchased the Canon camera a couple months ago, I don’t understand everything yet. The kit lens it came with is the 18-55mm lens.
On the back of the actual camera itself there’s + and – buttons. Is this only to zoom into the picture after its taken to just check the picture? Or is there no actual zoom on the camera itself, but the different lens you buy depends on that?
      Thanks (:
