I’m an aspiring photographer, and looking to buy a new DSLR camera.
I am anything *but* an amateur, so don’t say ‘this is good for beginners’.
I just want to know which is better quality, the Canon Rebel XTI, or one of the Nikon series? (as in, which takes better pictures)
Any information/personal reviews is appreciated ! Thanks ! ![]()

Out of those listed cameras, I would get the Nikon D90. I have a class that I am teaching and have 2 students that have D90′s and I have seen images in Photoshop and have very impressed with what I have seen.
Below is a review of the D90 that includes sample images. Also I included 2 links to photo dealer that have customer reviews of equipment.
Hope this helps.

The D90 is the best of the lot. It’s a solid & well built camera. Some call it a semi-pro or advanced amateur camera. All these cameras are good quality & can take good photos.
People who call themselves amateurs are usually not. (they are either beginners, or are in between amateur and beginner).
People who are truly amateurs also know (or should know) that it’s not the camera that is important, but the person behind it.
Lastly, any one of those cameras you mentioned take equally good pictures (if there ARE any differences they are probably not discernible to the naked eye) if the photographer knows what they are doing.
I have seen digital pictures taken with both Nikon and Canon dSLRs and I honestly cannot tell which one is ‘better’. They all take very nice photos.
nikon camera’s are best and they are use by photographers
